One of my friends on Facebook
shared a link to a sketch challenge blog.
Intrigued I went over to check it out.
They give you a sketch and song lyrics to incorporate onto your page.
FUN!
I had to play, especially since I had the best photo (in my mind)
for both the layout and the lyrics.
Here is the sketch:
The song is :
This is what I created using the June Swirlydoos kit and
adding some Dusty Attic chipboard.
The chipboard was colored with Frayed Burlap and Broken China
Distress Paints.
Chalkboard Ink in Chestnut Roan was rubbed through a Crafter's Workshop stencil.
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Latte sprayed across the page.
Petaloo Flowers.
The paper and DieCuts are from Kaisercraft.
Now the story behind the photo.
This was taken the day the girls graduated from 8th grade.
Several days before my daughter found a photo of all of them together in this pose on the last day of Kindergarten.
Now in the original they were all holding something, I know, but we only had 1 piece of paper this day.
The fact we were able to get a bunch of 14 year old girls to get all goofy; bonus!
They decided to recreate realizing that just the fact they have stayed together and are still good friends after 9 years is a rarity.
Hopefully in 4 years we'll get to recreate it again.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
