Beautiful Fall

Another day of double posting...I love days when I get so much done. They seem to be few and far between.

This layout was created for the monthly challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.  The layout needed to be about the fall season. The twist was to use paint somehow on it.

My layout involves two of my most favorite things about fall. My little, one whose birthday is smack dab in the middle of the season, and being outdoors. We went pumpkin picking last fall and pulling up to the fields I have to admit I was slightly underwhelmed. Not her though, she plowed through those fields on a mission to find the perfect one, which she eventually did. It came home with us and sat on our front porch all the way until Christmas she was so proud of it.

She is constantly making me look at things with new eyes. You would think that after 3 kids this would be old hat to me but it never is. The way she sees things most days just boggles my mind and at the same time makes me incredibly grateful for her.
I used the September kit from Swirlydoos. My background paper is a resist paper from Hot off the Press. It's colored with Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick Distress ink. I fussy cut around the butterfly's wing so I could tuck my photo under it.
I scribbled on my craft sheet with a brown Caran D'Arche water soluble crayon, misted it with water and splattered it randomly across my layout with a wet paintbrush. Some spots had fine speckling others had drips and dribbles.
I used a Prima resin piece as the base for this cluster and then added some ZVA Creative crystals that I cut apart and reassembled to my liking. Finally adding some flowers by Petaloo.
I hope that wherever you are you too are experiencing the gloriousness of the Fall season.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
