The challenge over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles for the month of December is to showcase where you find Joy in the Holiday season, the twist is to make it sparkle.
For me I always find Joy in watching the girls. This picture was a prime example of it. It started out being a photo shoot in front of our newly decorated tree, it degraded into each girl showcasing their unique personalities. The middle one got all dressed up, the oldest lounges away and the little one is showing her rambunctious spirit for all to see.
Instead of getting frustrated with them though I realized that though they are all definitely unique in their own special manner the 3 of them are a strong unit. They will stick together through thick and thin and are an unstoppable force when they do so.
This picture may never win a portrait contest but it brings me deep Joy every time I look at it.
For my layout I used non Christmas papers to get my Christmas feel. The base is from Teresa Collins Vintage Finds line, scraped with Gesso and then heavily misted with 3 Lindy's Stamp Gang colors. I love the bright shots of color the mists give but also the gold glimmer undertones.
I also added a bit of gold embossing and gold glitter paper to make it sparkle even more. It is the Holidays after all.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day
this is very very cool!
