It's time for another challenge at
Challenge #8 Show us Some Metal or Glass
Do you hoard gears, pins, brads, eyelets, frames, and other metal do-dads? Do you have a thing for tiny light bulbs and glass vials? Do junk drawers make you giddy? Do you hang out in office supply stores so you can score funky paperclips? Do bottle caps make you swoon? Dig through your hoard to find something metal or glass (or both) and make a project to share!
This is what I created for the challenge.
I took World Win Cardstock And using Stencil Girl & Crafter's Workshop stencils
with acrylic paint created my own background
Supplies:
Cardstock: World Win Papers
Stencils: Stencil Girl Stencils, Crafter's Workshop
Acrylic Paint: Golden Fluid Acrylic, Liquitex
Stamp: Sin CIty Stamps
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
Chipboard, Metal Tape, Embossing Folder
The butterflies are created using SinCity stamps on more World Win Cardstock,
fussy cutting them and then sewing them to a piece
For my metal I covered chipboard with metal tape
and ran it through an embossing folder for some texture
Closeup of the background.
I wrote words of wisdom to my daughter on it as a final touch.
