September Hop with Craft Hoarders Anonymous!

WELCOME!!!!!!

Thanks for joining me for the September Craft Hoarders Anonymous Hop.

You should be coming to me from Marissa's blog .
After, head on back to Gloria's blog

Once a month a group of us will get together to inspire, share, and show you how to use up
your hoard.
To start at the beginning or to get a full list of participating bloggers
head on over to Gloria's blog

My project this month is an altered deck of playing cards.
I joined a swap with Jessica Brogan called the
Inspirational Card Deck Swap.
Alter 52 cards, send them out and get 52 back.
How fun is that?
To create my cards the backgrounds are all from my underpapers
(the paper I cover my desk with to catch errant paint, mist, and stamping)

I added some more stamping, Sewing pattern paper,
Wasii tape etc...

Some cards have embossing
(to allow me to use pigment ink which NEVER dries on paint)

The hearts on some of the cards were created by cutting
free hand from painted pieces of book text.

I have tons of sheets of word stickers
so I would cut them up to say what I wanted, AND
make a huge dent in my stash

52 cards sure is a lot.
They all measure roughly the size of ATCs.
That is 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

Almost to the end...
To finish them all off I flicked watered down acrylic paint
over them all.
I love me some splatters.

Well that is it for this month's
Hoarders Hop.

Make to check with us every 5th of the month to get inspired on ways to
use that hoard.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. I think this is such a FUN project...and it's MASSIVE! It must have taken you quite a while to finish. Each card is unique, but also tied to all the other cards, and I just love that. Delicious color palette and a super fun project!

  15. I'm intrigued with your postcard projects! Can you tell me what your do after you create a 12X12 page and then cut it into postcards? Do you back your art with anything before mailing? Do you place your postcards in envelopes for mailing?
