The Road less Traveled

The other day I went searching for Christmas presents I had bought and hidden in a "safe" place until I could wrap them. Well I never found the presents but I did stumble upon this picture of my middle daughter that had been tucked away. She's only a year old here (hard to believe she's now almost 13) and exploring the waters in Brevard,NC.
I stopped looking and immediately went to my scrap room with the pic. Armed with the Mojo Monday sketch from Flying Unicorn I created this layout.

The papers are all from the December Flying Unicorn kit. The title of the kit was Ode to Yesteryear and it was simply yummy. I first took my base paper and with the chicken wire stencil and Glimmer mist added my first layer of color. Gesso in the corners and then stamping with SatzOn ink and a Kaisercraft script stamp.
There is a torn and distressed piece of Fabscraps paper layered under the photo. The wood fourishes are from Kaisercraft and misted with the same Glimmer mist I had used on my background. Prima flowers and crystals finished it off
This was the Mojo Monday sketch for the week. I am just loving using their Monday sketches.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Wow, this sure is pretty Christy! Good on you to just 'stop & scrap' while the mojo was flowing. Thanks for linking up with us at SEM.
