Sketchabilities #126 with Swirlydoos

Checking out the
Sketchabilities blog for  sketch #126,
I knew I had to use it for my next layout.

I combined it with the SGC challenge at Swirlydoos.
The challenge there was to tell your story somewhere on the page.
Journaling was to be an integral part of the page.
The other part of the challenge there was to talk about your fur babies.
Well we don't have any ourselves but we are lucky enough to have plenty of friends who share theirs.

This is the awesome sketch….
and here is my layout.
I used mostly supplies from past and present Swirlydoos kits.
One of the tags tucked behind the photo has the journaled story.
It's about the little one and our friend's donkey.
She spent hours with them, feeding, patting, and riding (until she fell off).
She was so happy.

Some stamping on the background paper with BoBunny & Clearsnap stamps
using Frayed Burlap Distress ink.

Blue Fern Studio chipboard layered with paper scraps,
doilies and some lace trim.

Some Prima ink was rubbed through a Crafter's Workshop stencil
to give a little pop of color.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Antique Bronze was
misted randomly onto the page.

Make sure to visit the Sketchabilities blog and see the other takes on the sketch,
and the Swirlydoos forum
to see how others are journaling on their pages.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
