Walls

A message I sent to myself...

  This is a page in my art journal. It started out for a sample in my All About Modeling Paste class that I recently taught over at The Art Studio. I was showing how to combine modeling paste with mists, stencils and stamping.

 After I had created the base showing the technique I was browsing through Pinterest (yes I'm addicted) and came upon this quote. It struck me at once, we are always building walls around ourselves for whatever reason. Sometimes you need those walls but others only stand to get in your way.
The only way to get past those is for you yourself to tear them down.

 I used some foam thickers for a few of my words and then printed out the rest on my inkjet printer. I then cut them out and inked the edges before adhering them to my page. I found a few rub ons that further accented my idea and added those as well.
