Sketchabilities #118

I absolutely love this new sketch from
Plenty of inspiration and a chance to use a bunch of my favorite medias on my page.

The photo I use is taken from the top of the Radio Tower in
Dusseldorf, Germany.
We got up just as the sun was going down on the
Rhine river and everything was bathed in a golden light.
It was simply breathtaking
and was perfect for this sketch.

Here is the sketch...
And this is the layout I created.
I used the March kit from
Swirlydoos for most of the pieces.
Then pulled various medias from my stash to add.
The paper is from Prima (Stationers Desk).
I scraped Modeling Paste through a Crafter's Workshop stencil
and once it was dry colored it with Pan Pastels
(absolutely love how they color the paste).
Tattered Angels Glimmer mist in Latte was misted randomly.

The circles are fro Blockheads and were stamped with Adirondack ink.
There is a rub on on the photo giving a title but it was hard to photograph.
Much easier to see irl.
The tag behind the photo can pull out and has some journaling on it.

Prima flowers, twine,a Doily misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang mist
 and a chipboard heart covered
with Washii tape created one cluster on the page.

Cheesecloth, Glitz paper layers,
and Prima tags layered under the photo.

Drywall tape, more ribbon and Washii tape also layered under the photo.
The cluster in the left hand corner was created with Prima tags, Washii Tape,
Tim Holtz Rub ons and cheesecloth.
To finish it all off watered down Burnt Umber acrylic paint
was flicked around the page.

Make sure to visit the Sketchabilities blog and see how everyone interpreted the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
