Run Like the Wind

Sketchy Thursdays has this sketch posted for their Guest Designer Challenge. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what picture I wanted to use with it.

My youngest running on the beach in Kiawah. I didn't want the page to be too cluttered I wanted her to be the focus and this sketch was perfect (most of their sketches are perfect :) )

Bazzill Cardstock sprayed with Chalkboard Mist & Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels, Radiant Rain by Luminarte and Smooch Ink. (Lots of spray ink-I had to iron my paper flat after)
Then some Clearsnap ink rubbed through Sequin Waste for a bit more texture.

The larger Circle is actually Tulle (couldn't get a good pic of it) and the patterned paper scraps were from Crate Paper & The Girls Paperie.
All letters are from my stash--I NEED to start using them up I have so many.

Thanks Ladies for another awesome sketch

That is an awesome picture! Love all the misting! So, I've got a couple questions...you said you ironed your paper - what setting? I always get so irritated when I mist and my paper gets all warped. Didn't think of ironing it. Second, your zigzag stitch is perfect...how do you get it to look so good? Mine always comes out looking all pulled - it looks more like the zigzag on the backside of the paper. Maybe it's my sewing machine? LOL. Thanks so much for playing along with us!!!!

Hey Heidi
I'll iron it on a cotton setting. Just make sure piece of plain paper (copy is fine) is between your colored page and your iron, just for protection.
As for the stitching--I was a quilter long before I found paper. I sometimes think I can sew a straight line better than I can draw. But if it is looking all pulled and stretched then it sounds like the tension is wrong on the machine. You may need to play around a bit--take scraps of paper, make a layer of 2 and then stitch with alternate tensions. Once you find the right the sticthes should be even on both sides
